    Not...dus..

Sopheon Named as a “Leader” in Strategic Portfolio Management by Independent Research Firm

Sopheon, the international provider of software, expertise, and best practices for Enterprise Innovation Performance, today announced it has been named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Strategic Portfolio Management Tools, Q3 2017. Sopheon earned the highest scores possible in the following eight current offering criteria: program/product management, alignment, validation, collaboration, data security, integrated risk management, practical usability and integration support.

Forrester differentiates strategic portfolio management solutions from traditional project portfolio management (PPM) solutions that are “locked into project management elements – schedule, resources and costs.”1 Forrester believes strategic portfolio management “should act as a corporate command center [focusing] on value, capacity, and time-to-realize value. Sitting at the center of a planning and execution ecosystem, these solutions become a firm’s operational system of record.”1 Further, a strategic portfolio management solution “leverages robust business analysis, capacity planning and predictive analytics capabilities that support investment decisions.”2

Steven Moskowitz, Manager, Strategic Innovation at Sopheon customer Entegris, Inc. stated:

“It comes as no surprise to us that Sopheon is considered a leader in strategic portfolio management. With the Accolade software we are able to slice and dice our data, permitting us to understand how well we are responding to the needs of a specific customer or regional market. This is tremendously valuable in allowing us to make better and more effective strategic decisions.”

Andy Michuda, Sopheon CEO, commented on the positioning in the Forrester Wave by saying:

“The companies we serve have an increasing need for speed and business agility as they navigate fast-paced, digitalized markets; it is an honour for Sopheon to serve this need. We believe the recognition by Forrester as a Leader in our market is a great testimony to our people and their laser focus on, and commitment to, client value.”

    Customers Validate Sopheon’s Accomplishments

Here at Sopheon we’re seeing some exciting momentum in the market.

Just this week we were named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Strategic Portfolio Management Tools, Q3 2017. Our Accolade software received the highest possible scores in the following eight criteria:
    •program/product management,
    •alignment,
    •validation,
    •collaboration,
    •data security,
    •integrated risk management,
    •practical usability, and
    •integration support

    Customers are Jazzed

Accolade users are noticing and speaking up about how our software is helping them make smart strategic decisions.

Steven Moskowitz, PhD, Manager, Strategic Innovation at Sopheon customer Entegris, Inc.

On LinkedIn, Billy Grierson – former Innovation Support for BASF, a current Sopheon customer – made two comments about this week’s announcement by Forrester.

“Having used Accolade and worked extensively with Sopheon in my last job, this is no surprise. In fact, I thought that everyone knew that Accolade is the best software support for innovation portfolio management. Congratulations to all at Sopheon.”

He went on to say, “When I was with BASF, everyone from Sopheon I came into contact with was a joy to work with. Without exception, they were professional and knowledgeable and I learned a lot from them. I am happy to tell anyone that, and frequently recommend Sopheon to anyone who has an interest in portfolio management.”

Also on LinkedIn, Lux Chakrapani – former Director of Manufacturing and Technology Applications at Honeywell, a current Sopheon customer – had this to say:

"Happy to have helped pick and deploy accolade across Honeywell and partnering with Andy, Sheila, Paul, and the leadership team on the roadmap! Everyone I worked with during the deployment were great! And a shout out to David, Yeshwanth, Sreeji and the HON team for a terrific job on this implementation!"

We’d like to say a BIG THANK YOU to our customers for their feedback.

    But Wait, There’s More

Forrester isn’t the only research analyst who is speaking up.

Earlier this summer, Gartner positioned us in their Magic Quadrant for Project Portfolio Management, Worldwide. The evaluation was based on our completeness of vision and ability to execute. We’re proud to be the only company included in this market analysis that was also named as a Representative Vendor in Gartner’s 2016 Market Guide for Strategy Execution Software. In our opinion, this points to the versatility of our Accolade software to enable decision making in support of agility and cross-functional alignment for companies wishing to remain competitive and deliver on organic growth targets.

    We’re Just Getting Started

Our customers are using advances in Accolade’s configurability and security to manage increasingly varied sets of portfolios across a customer’s organization. This is translating into added value for customers as they leverage their investments in the software for additional business applications.

With the release of 11.1 in February empowering enterprise strategy-execution capabilities, and 11.2 in July introducing new analytics capabilities for improved business forecasting accuracy and predictability, our product development and management teams are burning the midnight oil to keep up this momentum.

We can’t wait to share what we have in-store for our customers next. Stay tuned!
