Cijfers zijn 25 minuten geleden al gepresenteerd.
Ah, ik zie het. "conform verwachting".

Yandex Intros Free Mobile SatNav in Russia and Ukraine

Leading Russian online search provider Yandex today announced the release of Yandex.Navigator, a free mobile navigation software for iOS and Android.

The software provides off-board turn-by turn navigation and voice guidance for Russia and Ukraine. “Street navigation is available for most Russian and Ukrainian cities with a population of over 200,000 and also for smaller cities in Ukraine,“ wrote Yandex in its press release. it represent over 500 cities in Russia and Ukraine.

The system also offers real-time traffic information from Yandex.Traffic, a mobile application already used by millions of drivers.

“While our Yandex.Maps for Mobile app is indispensable for checking the current traffic situation when driving in a familiar area, the Navigator app is convenient for finding a faster way to a new destination,“ said Tigran Khudaverdyan, head of Mobile at Yandex.

“Although Yandex.Maps for Mobile and Yandex.Navigator are separate, standalone apps right now, we expect them to become more integrated with each other in the future,” he added.

This free offering from Yandex is creating a strong contender to the paid software offering from Navitel, NNG, Sygic and others. Obviously there will remain a difference between off-board and on-board maps but software with on-board maps are quite expensive. A quick look at the three top ranking navigation software in iTunes Russia shows that Navitel sells its Russian maps for $60, NNG for $40 and Progorod for $34.
