    Nog een response van Investingisatickygame.

    "mazdaq

That article was for public consumption. To me it is indicating the way. I will be amazed if Xcite hasn't now been approached or made it known its intentions to industry players. The 'we know how to get it out' statement IS SO BOLD. It lays down the gauntlet. It is not even arrogant, it is simply a statement of fact AND what they know is applicable to other like field operators.

Just imagine if it is applicable to the North Sea's 9 million barrels of heavy oil. If that is true they won't be owning oil fields per se. They can have a much easier life as a technology consultant and a very financially rewarding one, continuing possibly to engage their alliance partners in like fields.

How important might they be now to the Decc and the treasury for increased tax revenues and also revenues that will be brought on stream earlier and last longer?

Personally, I think today is the statement that makes this a game changer and anyone invested in Aim stocks for capital growth that is aware of Xcite and not invested in Xcite, should now give that some serious thought after today's article."

    Zie je nou?
    BOLD MEN.
    BOLD PLANS.

Maar DECC zei: No, cannot do.
TOO BOLD. And not enough money for contingencies/disasters a la Macondo.

    Enfin.

Onwards & upwards, zal ik maar zeggen @ this moment in time.

Mijn doel voorlopig 4 pound!

The Bentley field is operated by Xcite Energy and the Bentley Alliance .

    Xcite Energy holds 100%.

The field lies in 111 metres (365 ft) of water at total depth of 1100 metres (3,600 ft).

The reservoir is nearly 80 square kilometres (30.88 sq mi)

Has an average pay thickness of 39.6 metres (130 ft)

With an average porosity of 34% and permeability of over 10 Darcies.

The Grane field is operated by Statoil.
    Statoil holds 38%,
    Petoro – 30%,
    ExxonMobil – 25.60%,
    ConocoPhillips – 6.40%.

The field lies in 128 metres (420 ft) of water at total depth of 1,700 metres (5,600 ft).

The reservoir is nearly 27 square kilometres (10 sq mi)

Has an average pay thickness of 50 metres (160 ft)

Has an average porosity of 33% and permeability of 5-10 Darcies.

    After midnight in Opperdoes.

    Howdy do folks?
    It's Stetson time.
    Continuation.

    What happened this week?
The World Heavy Oil Conference took place in Aberdeen.
The capital of the Offshore Oil and Gas business in the North Sea.

Xcite were sponsor and gave presentations and released a new video showcasing the pre production flow test, or Phase 1A, of their Bentley heavy oilfield.
    Available @ their website.

An impressive view of the enourmous scale of the whole ongoing operation.
To conduct a simple flowtest. And how much money is needed to run the circus to achieve this.Offshore in harsh weather conditions.

A lot of posters on the BB's extracted some important statements from the video.

From LSE, Bonker 99, the following:

Good eyes tell a story they have not told us....

Video - www.screencast.com/t/31u8h5nUUgB (water test complete)

Presentation Pdf - www.screencast.com/t/EniQRbiqcL (RBL Secured)

Nou, even in laten zinken zou ik zeggen.

    P.P.S.
Happy to be an oilman, shareholder in Xcite Energy, 100% owners of an elephant oilfield, containing heavy oil, in the North Sea. The oil is as thick as the motoroil in your car.
And Xcite are also owners of Intellectual Property, especially engineering skills, to extract this precious stuff from under the seabed to the markets.
    With a lot of profit!
  5. [verwijderd] 15 september 2012 01:49
Checking above links, 2 conclusions can be drawn:

    1. Fluid objectives met.
    2. Reserves Based Lending facility of $155m secured.

    1. They know enough about oil/water movements.
50% watercut achieved? We don't know yet.

    2. All the requirements to secure the RBL have been met.
Those were conservative bottom lines, after doing a thorough due
dilligence check of Xcite's business potential.
    They have all been met.
    Xcite can do it.
    Proof is there.

Expectations are being exceeded, I believe.

The company is releasing only a bit of the total test information available.
They are in the end game to demonstrate the true marketvalue of Bentley and their Intellectual property.
And keep their cards close to their chest.
To maximise shareholders value, they said repeatedly in the end.
They are major shareholders themselves and don't care about current shareprice.
    They care about The Prize....

Hungry oilcompanies are zooming in on this small company.
We want your oil. All oilcompanies need reserves/production.

A few years ago Rupert Cole, current CEO, said the following in a Proactive video interview:
Our CEO, Richard Smith, said jokingly, although he never jokes:
    500m barrels when we're finished.

Smith retired earlier this year. Reasons not known.

Will Xcite, a small Oilcompany with 20 odd staff, try to do it themselves, to drain this elephant field in 20/25 years?
    No way.
Statoil need about a thousand of Aberdeen based staff to run the Captain and Bressay operations, both of similar size approx. as Bentley.

Earlier this year Rupert Cole talked about a market value of the company of at least 5GBP/8$.

Looks like the bottom line in reality is a lot higher.

My conclusion @ this moment in time: a lot of upside here.

    Z. te N.
    Happy investor.

    Bonsoir Xciters.

"Incidentally, I've never lost sight of the fundamentals here with XEL and the Bentley reservoir. It's massive by recent NS standards, but it was never going to be easy to exploit (which the recent EWT has helped to disprove). Sure, the larger than expected dilution (IMO largely as a result of the DECC's delay to approve continuous production by its insistance on the prior EWT) has affected the potential rewards, especially for those holding pre 2012, but looking forward from here it still represents a unique opportunity. Post EWT, there should now be ample evidence to support further RBL or farm-in(s) on much more favourable terms than could have been expected previously.

Either way, this field WILL get developed, somewhere over 1/4 of a BILLION barrels of oil WILL get produced (and sold at somewhere in excess of $100/bbl), and, once upfront capital development and ongoing operating costs have been covered, there will be plenty left over for us long sufferring shareholders, even after Mr taxman has taken his (very large) cut. NPV of $4-5 billion could easily be possible.

All of the above in my humble opinion of course....and quite happy to be filtered for my perceived support of the "Monster".

Oh, and the ROV is probably going to be used to secure (or remove) the riser at tanker the end of the pipeline - wouldn't want it flapping about in the current if it's going to be reused."

    Komt goed.

    Ik denk mooie samenvatting:

    The test was completed successfully.

Judging from today's market response it is unlikely that any takeover is being seriously considered.
I don't believe Fox Davies have a very good record of companies reaching their targets.

I still consider that Shares on loan is something every investor should take notice of. I prefer to read a website that gives numbers rather than a dodgy graph alone.

I will be interested to see the figures next week.
Was the SP supported by shorts closing on profit?
Or were we driven lower by opening of shorts throughout the trading day?

There appeared to be plenty of buying but total lack of broker support seemed evident.

Not the day I was hoping for but still a substantial uptrend in place for now.

    Howdy do Xciters?

PPPfffwwwttt, wat een xciting weekje. Weer.

    Just before midnight in Opperdoes.

    Ik hou 't kort.

Zie de c/p van iii van heden. Comingtonite1 is de auteur.
    Hoe bedenkt je zo'n alias.....

"Buy. This opportunity will not last long.

I think we all agree that fundamentally we have a company that has a market cap of £320million and a NAV of £1.1Billion (based on conservative figures of $12 per barrel and 116 million reserves). This is without allowing for any reserves upgrade, EOR or better than expected price for Bentley crude. In other words a clear long term buy. But what most PIs are concerned about is the short term drivers of this share price. I don't think that they should be, based on information that we have already recieved I can see several near term positive news releases.

We know that the interim report has to be sumbitted to the DECC within 90 days of the flow test end. We also know that the results from the EWT were better than anticipated. It seems likely that this report will be accompanied by an updated RAR which will have to factor in:
    - 9/03b- 7z encountered an oil column that was thicker than expected.
    - 9/03b - 7z encounter 100% oil saturation (as opposed to 91% anticipated)
    - Reservoir characterisics better than anticipated, in particular lower water cut.
Each of these is massively important. Each means that the anticipated recovery rate is better than stated in the last RAR and overall economics is enhanced. So within 88 days we are (almost certainly) going to get a stonking RNS.

We also know that the RBL is conditional on various criteria, all of which have been met. And indeed surpassed. The amount offered was predicated on an inferior asset to the one that we actually have. So that's another RNS, confirming the existing facility and more than likely extending it.

All of this of course makes a farm in at a good price more likely. If the potential suitors know we have options then they will pay market price. I have no doubt that negotiations will already be underway.

Again that is not all. The time between final applications and results of the last licencing round in the NS was six months. This one closed on the 1st May. Meaning results should be anticipated for 1st November. We know that XEL have applied, and from the comments in the AGM I assume they've applied in a serious way. Would it surprise anyone if joint bids were put in with other companies. After all XEL are keen to stress their ambition to be "partner of choice" for heavy oil extraction. If so we may know who are most likely Farm In partners are sooner than we think.

So near term I do expect good news. Perhaps company changing news. I also expect institutions to get on board soon. They have invested before. Once the DECC plans are public knowledge and the permission is granted to go ahead they will be very aware that this is a once only opportunity to buy in to the early stages of a 22 kbpd - 40 kbpd oil field in the North Sea. And the opportunity to buy a £1.1billion pound plus asset for under a third of its raw value won't be here long."

Before it gets lost in the tosh

As Ive said in the past, the goal posts have changed by DECC due to the BP incident in the Gulf of Mexico and hence why DECC could not fully approve the original field development plan. From the original well test they did not have enough information to present to DECC.

People say, they’ve spent a lot of money to achieve what they already did in 2010? Unfortunately the hose broke off and had to use tote tanks in winter months, which was very unlucky.

Tthe information was sufficient enough for Xcite but not enough to satisfy DECC (and potential farm-in partners). Without an approved field development plan you cannot do anything, apart from drill more wells to prove up reserves and provide more information to satisfy DECC which in turn makes themselves more attractive for a farm-in or a potential takeover!

Either way they still have to drill the wells. As per RNS, they have kept both 9/3b-7 and 7Z wellbores for future use in the next phase of the field development. Therefore the only additional costs was the 90 day well test. So I can challenge your figures straight away……the only extra cost was the well test as they had to drill both wells regardless….they can be both re-used.

From the flow test they confirmed the existence of a large, active aquifer, which will provide vital long term pressure support during life-of-field production, they also collected extensive data relating to the reservoir and fluid characteristics, which has significantly improved its understanding of the oil, gas and water movement within the reservoir. The data also provided key information to plan an enhanced oil recovery programme for the field.

As ive said before, they now have 2 wells, 116m P2 (which looks like it will increase), submitted the environmental statement and will be updating the current field development plan…..this makes it very attractive for any big operator in my eye - the money has been spent on exploration, appraisal and 2 development wells and full development plan will been approved by DECC!! The big boys need easy access to oil because it’s getting tougher to find it elsewhere, hence why Cairn may have slightly changed its strategy – they are not big enough to blow hundreds of millions in Greenland on dusters and they need reserves!!

I fully agree with quarryman…..” farm out scenario and the RBL was there to enable the company to negotiate a complete sale of the company from a position of strength, and not finding themselves over a barrel” and “regarding RAR, It is the first step and I believe it will be completed in November (as per SK's farm in comments)”

Xcite are far more attractive now than a year ago…….well test = money well spent!!!

Richting, want de day high lijkt mij uitgesloten.

    Hey Neut.

    Alles kits?

In zware financiele tijden...

Goede vraag.

    Enfin:

*Phase 1A pre-production boven verwachting afgerond. Langdurige produktie is mogelijk. Bewijs geleverd.

    Upside vragen imho.

Aaah, happy to be an oilman.
    Invested in Xcite Energy.
    @ this moment in time.

    Hoi Zandeman
Waar staan we eind december?
