    Ha Jack, omdat er talloze xchanges zijn die, naast Gatehub, ook XRP verhandelen, hoewel geen van die xhanges op dit moment smooth lopen, door de hoge vraag naar welke cryptocurrency dan ook....Gaat allemaal een beetje traag.

    Joel Katz also mentions how there is one big downside to locking up too much XRP is prices were too high. In the worst case scenario, this would not allow the team to increase the supply, should that ever be needed. Although that is somewhat of a luxury problem to have, it is also something that needs to be taken into account. Increasing the supply can still be done at a predictable rate, though.

    Japanese Internet Giant GMO is Launching a New Bitcoin Exchange
    Z.com Coin will store keys offline in a cold-storage with further risk mitigation through multi-signature offerings for customers. Further, GMO is also cooperating with Mitsui Sumitomo Kaika Kaisha Insurance Co., Ltd, gaining insurance against cyberattacks and theft.

    Announced today by SBI Ripple Asia, Ripple's joint venture arm with Tokyo-based financial services firm SBI Holdings, the firms lauded the test as an example of how Ripple’s technology could be leveraged by clients, even when not deployed on premise at each individual company.

    Daiwa Next Bank, Mizuho Bank, Nomura Trust, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust and ORIX Bank were some of the banks involved in the trial. (A full list is available with the official press release.)

    Ripple Unveils Strategy to ‘Become More Decentralized than Bitcoin’First, is Ripple’s foray to diversify the validator nodes on the blockchain. “Today, RCL has 25 validator nodes running, but continuing to grow and diversify this list of recommended validator operators is a priority for us,” wrote Thomas. The ultimate aim is to further avoid the risk of a single point of failure, with diversification of nodes across several geographical locations and software platforms.

    Secondly, Ripple will recruit attested validators to the network. It will monitor new validators joining the current set of 25 nodes, checking their performance on “consensus agreement rate, uptime, verification of identity and public attestation.”

    Finally, Ripple will add attested validators to its Unique Node Lists (UNLs). A UNL is a list of transaction validator nodes that are seen as ‘trusted’ validating nodes operated by Ripple. The company’s plan is to phase out the nodes it controls, replacing them with attested third-party validators until no single operator controls a majority of trusted nodes on the blockchain.

    In March 2017, MUFG entered a significant partnership with FinTech payments firm Ripple, joining its ‘Global Payments Steering Group.’ It could be inferred that MUFG intends to use the Ripple blockchain for domestic and international remittances using MUFG Coin, although this cannot be confirmed at this time.

    In a breakthrough this year, 47 Japanese banks completed a domestic money transfer pilot using Ripple’s blockchain.

    Announced today from South Korea cryptocurrency exchange Coinone was the launch of Ripple (XRP) trading 3 days early. The launch of XRP was originally scheduled for this upcoming Monday, May 15th. The early listing was likely in response from competitor exchange Bithumb, who also announced XRP trading to be launched on that day.

    Looking at the bigger picture, XRP has successfully overtaken ETH to become the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Both currencies will continue to jockey for position as time progresses, though, since the market cap of both currencies is very close to one another. It is not impossible for XRP to see a breakout sooner or later, though, as experts predict the token may hit a US$1 value in the coming months.
