ik weet het ff niet op het moment met de solars.
Tis allemaal minder positief aan het worden...pas op en zorg in ieder geval dat je winst maakt!

(May 23, 2008, 6:50AM ET) Three things to watch for solar investors: Oil pullback(expect 20-25% from here); Bush to veto tax break bill(he said earlier to veto); more downgrades to follow?....

SOYO $ 0.74 ANNOUNCED TODAY STRONG REVENUE AND NET INCOME GROWTH EVERY QUARTER OF 2008 and FY 2008 12 second(s) ago FOR DETAILED GUIDANCE READ SOYO's PR THIS MORNING

For 1Q 2008 SOYO, a US-based HDTV maker, reported revenues 25M for 1Q 2008 up 69% from $14.7M in 1Q 2007. According to the company's PR this morning that is in line with today's press release about the guidance forward.

GUIDANCE FOR THE REST OF 2008.

Unlike most companies guiding lower, SOYO continues its remarkable positive growth in both revenues and net income.

    - For 2Q 2008 guidance calls for revenues of $32M and 2c/share net income.

    - 3Q revenues of $37M and 4c/share

    - 4Q revenues of $50M and 5c/share net income

The total net revenue for 2008 is expected to be $148M while net income is expected at 12c/share.

This assumes that the company does not succeed increasing its credit limit. However, the CEO is optimistic that they will increase their borrowing power and therefore revenue and net income will increase substantially. The CEO said that he expects announcements regarding financing in the near future.

Regarding the Honeywell rollout it is already under way already selling Honeywell's SecuraDrive, monitors, and Bluetooths. During the CC on May 15, SOYO's CEO said that they will start distributing Honeywell HDTVs in July starting with smaller units followed by the larger units in time for the holidays. This is the reason why the revenues will jump in 4Q 2008. SOYO has a multi-year license from Honeywell to develop an entire line of consumer electronics products including LCD HDTVs ranging from 47" to 82", LCD monitors, portable drives, wireless products, etc.

The company needs to get approval from Honeywell to issue PRs regarding who will carry the Honeywell brand. But he exoects to do so shortly.

SOYO continues to grow at an accelerated and controlled pace. The CEO owns over 50% of the O/S shares and he expressed many times before that he will not mortgage the company's future for short-term gains. This is something that Syntax-Brillian management could learn a thing or 2 from. YOu might recall that CEO Chok purchased 1.5M shares last month at $1.25/share when the stock was trading at $1.25. He did so to help improve the company balance sheet.

In summary, SOYO is extremely undervalued trading at a 5 forward PE, a 0.2 PEG,and a 0.25 P/S. Once the company moves to a higher exchange it will easily trade in the $5+ range.

    adje kwam dit tegen..

Even among stocks with low "Short-Term PowerRatings" of 3 or less, there can be important differences that will separate a stock that will move dramatically lower from one that may only drift marginally to the downside or even slide sideways rather than correct lower.

How do we separate the best trade opportunities among the low Short-Term PowerRating stocks from those that might be merely "OK" or mediocre?

Click here to download a free special report, "Five Undiscovered Gems For Under $25."

Our first "screen" is to make sure, if we are looking to bet against stocks, that the low Short-Term PowerRating stock is below its 200-day moving average. From time to time, stocks with low Short-Term PowerRatings will appear above their 200-day moving averages. This can happen when stocks have tremendous runs to the upside without pausing or pulling back.

These super-strong stocks are not stocks we want to sell short--even if they have low Short-Term PowerRatings. For us, shorting stocks that are showing such obvious strength above the 200-day moving average is a little like stepping in front of a moving freight train: You might make it in time, but the odds of getting squashed are strong enough to keep most of us off the rails.

Special Offer: Missed out on Apple and the rebound in SanDisk? Stay up to date on the best buys in technology with a free trial of the Prudent Speculator TechValue Report.

Once we've cleared the area of low Short-Term PowerRating stocks, we like to narrow the list down even further so as to focus on the stocks with the lowest possible Short-Term PowerRatings. While stocks with Short-Term PowerRatings of 3 are not stocks to be buying, they are not nearly as dangerous as stocks with Short-Term PowerRatings of 2 or 1.

So while stocks with Short-Term PowerRatings of 3 may be stocks to avoid, the true short-selling candidates tend to be the 2s and 1s.

Lastly, we like to look at a number of technical indicators and patterns that our research has indicated do an excellent job in spotting markets that are oversold, or in the case of low Short-Term PowerRatings stocks, overbought.

These indicators range from consecutive up or down days and gaps up or down to stocks being up or down by 10% in a few days or, one of my favorites, overbought and oversold readings in the two-period RSI.

We use these indicators to see if we can find even more edges that will help us see which stocks are displaying the most oversold or overbought characteristics. It is a way of further limiting our list of potential candidates so as to be left with only the best and most likely to perform as expected.

Here are three such stocks. All three stocks are trading below the 200-day moving average, which gets them "in the door" as candidates. Additionally, all three stocks have Short-Term PowerRatings of 1. This means that, according to our research, these three stocks belong to that class of stocks that have underperformed the average stock by nearly 5 to 1.

All three of these stocks also have two-period Relative Strength Index values of 98 or more. We have found that stocks with two-period RSIs of 98 or more actually underperform the average stock in one-day, two-day and one-week time frames.

Add all three of these factors together and you see why these three stocks are in the PowerRatings Danger Zone. Dangerous, that is, for all but those traders who like to sell stocks short.

Renesola upgrade gehad naar 40$ nu rond de 25.

Upgrade to 40 27-May-08 11:54 am Piper Jaffray Reiterates Bullish Stance on ReneSola (SOL) Following Recent Visit

Piper Jaffray comments on ReneSola Ltd. (NYSE: SOL), saying a visit indicates Q2 is tracking to plan. The firm said ReneSola is on track to ship 75–80MW and there could be potential upside.

Analyst Jesse Pichel said, "We recently met with ReneSola in China. We believe ReneSola is on track to ship 75–80MW (per guidance) and we believe potential upside exists on improved yield, and quicker than expected capacity ramp depending on 1) Higher yield from 40 mono furnaces installed in Q407, and 2) How quickly the 80 mono furnaces expected in Q2 can be ramped. We believe 30 furnaces have already been delivered and installed in May and are fully operational, and another 30 will be installed in early June."

The firm is maintaining their Buy rating and $40 price target on SOL.

    solf blijft ook goed staan,
