Toen Barco laatst uit de grotere BEL 20 viel, merkte hun CEO volkomen terecht op daar niet wakker van te liggen. In Frankfurt, Londen en Parijs zijn de AEX, AMX en ASCX niet permanent in beeld, net zoals jij ws. niet spontaan de samenstelling van de Bulgaarse sterindex kent.

Op een véél grotere schaal, Unliever verliet de eurozone en daarmee o.a. de wel daadwerkelijk gevolgde Stoxx 50, zie je in een koersgrafiek alleen een enorme paal terug bij de omzet in 2020.

Je zou het gelezen kunnen hebben, de hypothese wordt veel vaker verkondigd, maar in de lage landen is het een non-event. Misschien dat er eentje begint over Teletekst of een online lijstje met grootste stijgers onder indexfondsen, maar dat was het dan wel. En ook analisten gaan een graftakkenbedrijf niet volgen, "omdat het in de AScX zit". Defensie is dan een belangrijkere, uniekere ingang dan de een of andere etalage van Euronext.

Daarenboven kom je in de AScX omdat je op de beurs al groot bent/was (groter dan de lokale markt), en niet omdat je groot gaat worden.

Misschien een paar Teletekst-beleggers die voor het eerst de naam Theon tegen gaan komen, maar dan heb je het wel zo'n beetje gehad.

Ja, zal allemaal wel, maar Theon wordt Small Cap!? Ook niet. Theon valt door de beurswaarde bij Euronext al onder "een" Mid Cap-definitie (tabel rechtsonder, op live.euronext.com/nl/product/equities... ).
