Dank, belangrijk bericht denk ik om de relatie Porsche SE, VW, TT en INRIX beter te begrijpen. En mogelijk ook het gedoe met het intrekken van het Duitse persbericht. Partijen schuiven m.i. steeds meer naar elkaar toe en vormen/gaan blok vormen op gebied van smart Cities en "internet of things". Zie ook andere draadje over wel/geen VW deal.

Job description

INRIX (based in Kirkland, WA) is looking for an experienced GIS Analyst for its Maps team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will join a high-functioning group of GIS analysts and developers that is working on the INRIX Maps platform.

The qualified candidate will have a background in GIS analysis and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, as well as detailed understanding of GIS data – especially road data, map rendering, route calculations, and general cartography. He or she must be organized, creative, and able to quickly become an effective member of the Maps team.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Provide technical contribution and guidance regarding GIS data and infrastructure and their relationship to INRIX’s Traffic and Mapping platform
•Collaborate with Product Development, Test and Operations teams to create spatial solutions and contribute to the improvement of data quality and the efficiency of processes
•Anticipate upcoming challenges, analyze problems and provide design of process solutions
•Serve as a subject matter expert on GIS production tasks

Qualifications:
•BS in Geography (GIS), Management Information Systems, or related field
•Must possess expertise using ESRI's ArcGIS software and in performing complex computations and conversions of GIS data, specifically roadmap data
•3+ years working in a GIS role
•3+ years’ experience with SQL Server and handling / analyzing large amounts of data
•Experience with SQL Server Spatial Data Types
•Familiarity working with transportation databases from TeleAtlas / TomTom a plus
•Working knowledge of GPS data implementations, conversions, limitations, and use cases a plus
