    My mistake, I typed in Break out, rather than Out break.

    You get the idea. In any event, you understand what I have to deal with translating Dutch to English.

    It still means that the stock is in new territory.

    The problem is that it has not broken out on the Eurochart. It has broken out due to currency changes. Something is up...

    The euro-charts are also becoming more and more convincing! For me the moment 17,00 Euro was taken out with surprisingly high volumes was the sign that a rally was about to start and I expanded my Crucell positions.

    I agree with you that "something great is coming" and that the US provide the momentum for it.

    A small 10% rally should be possible. That's still small beer compared to TomTom, but much better than the boring waiting season we have behind us. Fishing in a poisoned creek was more exciting!

    Crucell has been very active in the US market, closing 20 to 30 cents above the adjusted Euronext price for the past couple of weeks. 52 week high on Friday. It closed above a 4 year down trendline in Europe. And has achieved a break-out according to a Stockconsultant.com

    6 possible reasons for move

    Stock has beaten estimates for 5 quarters in a row now, profitable etc...Street catching on.

    Push to get Epaxal and Epaxal Jr approved in the US(300 million market, superior product)

    TB Partner(great promise, huge market, getting through phase II trials with great results)

    Malaria Partner(according to last AGM, they have made up with GSK...combination vaccine would be best)

    Flu Antibodies in clinic (With or without partner, with or without complete or partial funding from the US Government-should work against bird and swine flu)

    Buy 0ut by Sanofi, Novartis, Pfizer, etc

    In addition to those things above, the Unicef vaccine tender should be finalized and announced by the end of the year. That should be (55% of 140 million worldwide doses per year equals 77million, 77 million times $3.25/dose is $250 million dollars, over three years that is $750 million dollars) a $750 million contract.

    The way it is acting (and again, it seems like players in the US know something is up), I would not be suprised to see $30 by the end of July. Option activity has been heavy in Crucell as well.

    Off a Cup and Handle formation, the run on a breakout is usually equal to the depth of the cup, or around $6 to $7, which would put the stock at $30 to $31. When this stock runs, it tends to run hard and then breathe and consolidate.

    20 euro going to be a tough ceiling, so I expect a pause there, that would be at around $28.

    You said for it to break above that 4 year trendline, it had to close above 17.23. That was a week ago. the last four days have Crucell making slightly lower highs, and slightly higher lows...with the highs being

    17.25 low 16.90
    17.25 low 17.00
    17.20 low 17.01
    and so far today 17.24 low 17.02

    Maybe today is the day. The US keeps pushing them, closing .20 above the adjusted high.

    What do you think it runs to if it breaks out?

    Hello Ron

    It should run, quick and easily towards 19.50
    ( on the weekly chart )
    On the weekly chart , my targets are far above the 20's
    Also the Monthly chart is in an 5 wave up, with targets 40-60 , to be reached before 2011.
    But as you know, we follow the S&P 500, and it has to break the 930 area , in order to go to the 1030-1050.
    As long as the 875 stays in, we will have the bullish scenario.

    Als de yanks de kar niet trekken gebeurt het hier wel. Volume is nu (lunchtijd) al voorbij het totaal van gisteren met een leuke stijging bij een dalende AEX en AMX. Nu maar hopen dat de yanks zin krijgen om voor hun lange weekend stevig in te slaan
