    Plug Power Signs Long-Term Agreement to Use Praxair Hydrogen for State-of-the-Art Fuel Cell Solution


    Praxair Hydrogen Strengthens Plug Power's GenFuel Business

    LATHAM, N.Y., Nov. 4, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Plug Power Inc. (Nasdaq:PLUG), a leader in providing clean, reliable energy solutions, today announced it has signed a long-term hydrogen distribution agreement with Praxair, Inc. (NYSE:PX), one of the largest industrial gases companies in the world and North America's largest liquid hydrogen producer. The agreement pairs Plug Power's GenFuel hydrogen fueling infrastructure solution with Praxair's liquid hydrogen supply capability helping customers realize productivity and environmental benefits.

    Plug Power will offer Praxair hydrogen to its customers throughout the United States who are using the company's GenKey hydrogen fuel cell solution. The GenKey solution consists of three separate elements: GenDrive fuel cell units, GenFuel hydrogen fuel and infrastructure, and GenCare maintenance service. Plug Power provides customers with full integration and deployment of the entire GenKey package to ensure a seamless transition to hydrogen fuel cell-based power for their material handling operations.

    Praxair's hydrogen supply system provides a high-quality, reliable source of hydrogen for Plug Power customers. Praxair has been providing hydrogen fuel and related technical support to fuel cell developers for over a decade and maintains liquid hydrogen production capacity and distribution capabilities throughout North America. Praxair recently announced it was building a steam methane reformer to increase the supply of hydrogen for customers served from its liquid hydrogen plant in Niagara Falls, New York. When completed in 2015, Praxair's Niagara Falls liquid hydrogen production capacity will increase by 50 percent.

"Plug Power's emergence in the fueling business will simplify the transition to hydrogen fuel cells for material-handling customers."

    Ik ben compleet verrast dat het Praxair is geworden. Marsh heeft wel ens geopperd dat Plug niet vast zat aan Air Liquide maa ik dacht dat dat bij het spel hoorde, zelfs het uit de aandelen stappen van AL vond ik geen reden om te denken dat ze niet de levering van moleculen zouden doen.

    Dus toch. Praxair is notabene ook niet de minste hoor.

    Blijft de joint venture in Europa over als laatste relatie punt tussen Plug en AL.

    Prima. Onafhankelijkheid is een teken van kracht.

    (7:30 AM ET) NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Plug Power's stock PLUG, -14.57% plunged 16% in premarket trade after the fuel cell technology company reported a wider-than-expected loss while sales rose less than forecast. For the quarter ended Sept. 30, the net loss narrowed to $9.38 million, or 6 cents a share, from $15.9 million, or 19 cents a share, in the year-earlier period. Excluding non-recurring items, the adjusted loss per share was 4 cents, compared with the FactSet consensus analyst loss estimate of 3 cents. Revenue rose to $19.9 million from last year's $4.6 million, but missed analyst projections of $24.4 million. The company shipped 857 of its GenDrive units during the quarter, or more than five times the 155 units shipped a year ago. Through Tuesday, the stock has more than tripled so far this year, compared with a 10% gain in the S&P 500.

    Precies zoals ik voorspeld heb....!!!

    Het is en blijft een marginaal bedrijf dat waarschijnlijk nooit enige winst van betekenis zal maken.
    Als iedereen dit door krijgt staat de koers binnen een poep en een scheet weer onder 1 dollar en komt er weer een emissie.

    Mensen die hun geld niet willen verliezen zullen deze aandelen moeten dumpen voor het te laat is.
    Zolang de hype voortduurt kunnen deze aandelen trouwens best nog verder stijgen, want het kenmerk van een hype is tenslotte sterke overdrijving.
    Maar bij een tegenvallend bericht (of bij een slechte beurs) kunnen dit soort aandelen binnen een poep en een scheet halveren of erger.
    Een fraai stukje al zeg ik het zelf: alle 4 genoemde aandelen zijn gekelderd.

    En de fans blijven rustig zitten terwijl ze kaalgeschoren worden......

    Plug gaat op 2 fronten scoren ... vandaag een ReliOn backup power deal.

    Plug Power (NASDAQ:PLUG) +10.8% premarket after announcing it signed a multi-year contract valued at $20M with an unnamed North American telecom company.
    PLUG says it will provide ReliOn integrated backup power fuel cell solutions for use in the customer's wireless network, which supports internal communication needs and provides a public communications network for customers.
