    Saab reported to be quite China Trade in Saab shares halted

    Two Chinese car companies are now close to reaching an agreement with Saab Automobile to take over the Sweden-based automaker, said a source familiar with the ongoing talks between the companies said. The agreement shall be so written that the case of a Chinese purchase of the Saab.

    The purchase price will be around one billion Swedish kronor, according to the signals TTELA received. [UPDATED 09:20]

    As TTELA wrote in a commentary today suggests the protracted negotiations in Stockholm between Saab and Pang Da and Youngman on the Chinese continue to push the line to take over Saab and buy the Victor Muller. An agreement with a shared ownership would be passed relatively quickly to confirm.

    According to signals received TTELA negotiations can, in principle, been almost completed as early as yesterday evening. This indicates that a message should pop up this morning.

    But Saab was early this morning has not yet prepared to make any comments about the information from Beijing.

    - We have no comments to make.

    - When and if we will make it so, we use a press release, said Gunilla Gustavs at Saab's information department.

    The Chinese companies Pang Da and Youngman has for weeks been in discussions with Saab Automobile, according to the source.

    Trade with the Saab owner Swedish Automobiles shares is halted on the stock exchange in Amsterdam, reports Reuters.

    AFM legt handel Swedish Automobile stilSAAB

    AMSTERDAM (ANP) - De handel in aandelen Swedish Automobile, het moederbedrijf van Saab, is vrijdagochtend door de Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM) opgeschort. De toezichthouder wacht op een persbericht van het bedrijf.

    Eerder op de dag verschenen er berichten dat Swedish Automobile dichtbij een akkoord is over de overname van Saab door de Chinese autobedrijven Youngman en Pang Da.
