   Waarschijnlijk een opslag van wapens/ammunitie midden in een vluchtelingen kamp
   Hamas had wapens en munitie opgeslagen temidden van een bescherming door mensen ( vluchtelingen, human shield ) nota bene onder een moskee
   In de regel krijgt/kopen Hamas en Hezbollah de wapens van Iran voor hun strijd tegen Israel

   Onderhandelingen over Iraanse atoomdeal worden hervat
   
   De onderhandelingen om de Iraanse nucleaire deal uit 2015 nieuw leven in te blazen, worden de komende dagen hervat. Dit zei Josep Borrell, hoofd van het buitenlands beleid van de Europese Unie, zaterdag tijdens een reis naar Teheran.
   
   Ruim 3 maanden lagen de gesprekken stil en de vooruitzichten op het bereiken van een akkoord zijn zeer onzeker.
   
   Een groot struikelblok blijft het opheffen van Amerikaanse sancties tegen Iran. Teheran wil dat alle sancties die de economie belemmeren moeten worden opgeheven, ook die tegen de Iraanse Revolutionaire Garde, die sinds 2019 op de terroristenlijst staan van de Verenigde Staten.
   
   In een persconferentie na een ontmoeting met de Iraanse minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, zei Borrell de uitgebreide onderhandelingen, waarbij ook Rusland, China, het VK, Frankrijk en Duitsland zijn betrokken, niet direct worden hervat.
   
   Het is de bedoeling dat eerst de Amerikaanse en Iraanse onderhandelaars gaan praten op een locatie in de Perzische Golf. De EU zal daarbij bemiddelen.
   
   Als die gesprekken een doorbraak opleveren, gaan de gesprekken met alle deelnemers verder in Wenen.

   (ABM FN-Dow Jones) Diplomaten van de Europese Unie die een impasse proberen te doorbreken in de besprekingen over een atoomakkoord met Iran, hebben een belangrijke nieuwe concessie aan Teheran voorgesteld waarmee snel een einde moet komen aan een VN-onderzoek naar de atoomactiviteiten van de Islamitische Republiek in het verleden. Dat blijkt uit een concepttekst van het voorstel van de EU, dat werd ingezien door de Wall Street Journal.
   
   Het onderzoek van het Internationaal Atoomenergie Agentschap naar niet-aangegeven nucleair materiaal dat in 2019 in Iran werd gevonden, was tot nog toe een belangrijk knelpunt in de gesprekken over een nucleaire deal, die nu al 16 maanden lopen.
   
   Dat materiaal, beweren Israël en westerse functionarissen, is het bewijs dat Iran ooit een clandestien atoomwapenprogramma had, iets wat Teheran lang heeft ontkend, door te zeggen dat het alleen geïnteresseerd is in een civiel nucleair programma.
   
   Volgens de concepttekst moet Iran ermee instemmen om de zorgen van de IAEA weg te nemen voordat een nieuwe atoomdeal van kracht wordt. Als Teheran meewerkt, zullen de VS en andere partijen er bij het IAEA-bestuur op aandringen het onderzoek af te sluiten, staat in de tekst.
   
   Het EU-team, dat de gesprekken voorzit en verantwoordelijk is voor het opstellen van de overeenkomst, heeft gezegd dat dit de definitieve tekst is die het zal aanbieden om de nucleaire deal nieuw leven in te blazen, aldus de Wall Street Journal. Volgens twee bronnen moet er uiterlijk 15 augustus een antwoord komen van alle partijen.

   Gas & Electricity Shortage to Hit Steel Production in Iran

   Iranian Financial Tribune reported that rebar export accounts for Lion’s share in Iranian finished steel exports this year. According to the Iranian Steel Producers Association, total exports of finished steel products during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21-November 21) decreased by 2% YoY to 2.14 million tonnes with rebar export of 1.67 million tonnes up 7% YoY and 78% of total exports. Other finished products exported from Iran during the period included
   
   Hot-rolled coil - 193,000 tonnes, down 39% YoY
   
   L-beam, T-beam and other types of beam- 112,000 tonnes, down 10% YoY
   
   Beams - 91,000 tonnes, down 5% YoY
   
   Coated coil - 57,000 tonnes, down 26%
   
   Cold-rolled coil - 14,000 tonnes, up 8% YoY
   
   Total Finished Steel Production - 14.74 million tonnes, up 14% YoY
   
   Long Steel Production - 8.65 million tonnes, up 17% YoY
   
   Flat Steel Production - 6.08 million tonnes, up 10% YoY
   
   However, a report in Iran International says that gas and electricity shortage will probably lead to a 2 million-tonne decrease in Iran’s steel production. The report quoted Iran’s Steel Manufacturers Association’s board member Mr Reza Shahrestani in an interview with ILNA said that “There is a severe gas shortage in steel companies. The steel industry needs 40 million cubic meters of gas daily, but at present their consumption has reached 15 million cubic meters per day. Gas shortage has also led to electricity shortage because the current amount of natural gas does not meet the needs of power plants to produce electricity. Almost 50% of the electricity supply for industries has been cut off too. It seems that the gas and electricity shortage will be more severe next year and if it continues like this. It will have a tangible impact on the production rate of all industries.”
   
   Mr Shahrestani added that “In my opinion, the people, who are in office at the oil ministry, are not up to the task, so we are witnessing inefficiency in all fields.”
