    Detour Gold Corporation
    Detour Gold produced an updated resource estimate that shows an open-pit resource of almost 4.8 million ounces. The company has found higher-grade initial mineralized zones in the hanging wall and drilling to date has expanded the model pit shell. Detour Lake is in the backyard of the majors and we expect this company to be acquired. With less then 43 million shares outstanding and production capability nearing, Detour is an ideal takeover candidate. Buy.

    Nieuws over Detour en Block A. Er worden voor een bedrag van ong. $65 miljoen aan "special warrants" uitgegeven die door BMO Capital Markets later aan particulieren zullen worden doorverkocht. Detour zegt het geld te gaan gebruiken voor ontwikkeling en exploratie van het Detour Lake Project maatr ik kan me voorstellen dat er ook andere projecten mee gefinancierd kunnen worden, incl. een overname van het resterende Block A.

    Detour Gold Corporation (TSX:DGC) ("Detour Gold" or the "Company")is pleased to announce that today it has entered into an agreement witha syndicate of underwriters led by BMO Capital Markets ("BMO") underwhich the underwriters have agreed to buy 4,000,000 special warrants(the "Special Warrants") from Detour Gold on private placement basis,and re-sell to the public under applicable prospectus exemptions, at aprice of $16.30 per Special Warrant, representing an aggregate amountof $65,200,000. Each Special Warrant entitles the holder to acquire,for no additional consideration, one common share of Detour Gold.     We are in the process of updating all collateral material. However, I sent
    the info off to you because I don't believe that I have spoken to you on a
    long long time. I also attached the latest news about NEWCO for you to read
    just in case you weren't up to date. The WCH Spin Off has been a bit of a
    delay due to minor politics that have been dealt with as well, we have had
    to spend extensive amounts of time establishing a share structure that is
    economically viable to the shareholders as far as receiving the dividend
    share. Everything is moving along and we are shooting for a mid year ( at
    the latest) Spin Off. As for NEWCO, you know as well as I know that this is
    a buyout target. I am not sure what your position is in the company, but if
    I were you, I would be putting some extra money into TWD at these levels.

    hmmm, Newco wordt niet in de markt gezet kennelijk als spin-off, dat was volgens mij nog niet zo uitgesproken. Het wordt netjes verpakt en in de etalage gezet.

    Verder nieuws: men is van plan een soort roadshow te gaan doen, waarbij Amsterdam niet overgeslagen gaat worden. Verwacht dit medio april in conjunction met Stuttgart. Lijkt me leuk om heen te gaan en diverse panelleden te ontmoeten.

    TWD wordt weer neergesabeld op de beurs, 0.20 alweer. De gecombineerde basherpack doet zijn werk op Stockhouse? Dit gaat nergens over en is onterecht, of is het slechts een van de vele bizarre wendingen in de markt...

    Hierbij een update mbt de vele ontwikkelingen bij TWD. Het ziet er echt goed uit: DETOUR, de spin-offs, het vordert allemaal gestaag, dit met een market cap van plm 12 mio.....
    Voor Newco is iig een naam bedacht: Sunday Lake Gold Corporation

    We thank you for your inquiry and interest in TWD.
    This years PDAC show has proven to be very successful. TWD received a very positive response from our existing retail and institutional investors, as well as that of a new audience of brokers and funds. This interest was not restricted to Canadian funds, but has expanded out to a number of overseas funds who have approached us with a keen interest in learning more about our progress and the future plans for the Detour Camp. Some of these overseas funds have expressed an interest in acquiring a sizable position in TWD. As a response to the increased interest, we are planning a European tour in April so that we can further cultivate this interest by the various institutions.
    TWD is attracting this new interest because we are viewed as an undervalued company with a lot of promise. Unlike many junior companies, TWD has a proven 43-101 compliant 2.3 million ounce gold resource, with a soon to be updated resource calculation. The company is of the opinion that this resource will ultimately be over 4.0 million ounces. Although this will have to be confirmed with more drilling, we can extrapolate the success we've had so far to be able to say with some degree of confidence that this will be the case. We have been able to prove up 804,000 ounces in just 1,100 meters of strike length! We have seen that the mineralized trend continues for 4,600 meters. If past results are any indication, and we have no reason to doubt it, then we should be able to replicate the discoveries of former operator, Placer Dome. They had discovered on average, 1.0 million ounces of gold for every 1,000 meters of strike length.
    TWD has an exciting year ahead of it, with its various Spin Off strategies as well as extensive drill programs planned for Treasure Mountain, Turner Lake and potentially Birch Lake in the prolific Red Lake mining District.
    To elaborate, in regards to the NEWCO, the proposed name is Sunday Lake Gold Corporation. There is an upcoming proxy and we are shooting for an April Spin Off. With RBC providing the financial support we are moving forward as planned. DGC is very excited to work closer with TWD in developing the open pit design. With RBC's significant involvement we will be able to confidently project a late Spring '09 pre-feasibility stage of geological confidence on the Block A
    We have commenced official exploration on Treasure Mountain last year. The Geologists and TWD are very excited about the new zones that have been discovered and are forecasting a successful drill program which is yet to be outlined.
    RockGate Capital is putting together a drill program for Turner Lake which is set to commence this May. Lorne Warner is very excited to revisit the Turner Lake property that he originally brought to the table which houses very good assays from historic drilling.
    The stall of the WCH Spin-off is due mainly to the fact that there have been significant geo political issues involved and the govt' has implemented some new policies that have made base metal mining and exploration very difficult in Southern China. As a result of this, TWD is currently conducting due diligence on new potential properties for WCH. Trade Winds early development stage Tuole Au-Cu property has steered clear of any politics and remains the front runner property for WCH.
    It is our belief that when comparing our current share structure to that of many other junior exploration companies, along with TWD's prosperous group of strategies, TWD's share value should increase dramatically from the current levels. I would say to anyone who is looking for a re-entry point or a fresh new position to strongly look at TWD. There is next to no risk at these levels.

    The entire Jr Market is taking a bit of a beating. Unfortunately we’ve had to battle through some iceberg orders from what seems to be a fund falling off the project. Myself and Terry are working very diligently to get in front of a new audience of retail and institutional investors at this basement level. The project has not died at all and you can pass that on to your network. This is an excellent opportunity for you guys to average down and reload in the low twenties!! We’ve got the Sunday Lake Spin-Off set for May, as well the Western China is set for some time in June tentatively and don’t forget the drilling which is set to begin on both Treasure Mountain and Turner before Summertime. We’ve got a strong project here and in my personal opinion there is no reason why TWD couldn’t triple before the end of the year. ……

    As for our tour in EU We are set to go to Germany and we will be definitely making a trip to Amsterdam to target our existing shareholders and visit some new ones ( retail and institutional) We are currently structuring our itinerary. If you have any suggestions, please let me know

    Ik heb vandaag een 1e stap genomen en wat aandelen aangeschaft.
    Ik kijk het nu eerst even aan, voor dat ik dat verder uit ga breiden.
    D
    e koers heeft dit jaar al op ruim de helft hoger gestaan.
    De reden van de daling heb ik nooit begrepen, misschien door uitblijvnd nieuws wat vaak een reden is dat beleggers een aandeel vaarwel zeggen.
    Voorlopig spin ik daar garen bij. :~)
