HITT receives orders for airports in Vietnam - Germany and Sweden 21/12/2010

HITT receives orders for airports in Vietnam, Germany and Sweden.

HITT has received orders with a total value of EUR 3 million for systems for airports in Vietnam, Germany and Sweden.

HITT has received a notification of award from the Vietnam Air Navigation Services Corporation for the delivery of an Advanced Surface Movement Guidance & Control System (A-SMGCS) for Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the largest international airport with a capacity of 15 to 17 million passengers annually which handles more than half of all passengers flights in Vietnam. The system is to be completed by the end of next year.

The HITT Advanced Surface Movement Guidance & Control System is a state of the art system which assists air traffic controllers with fast, safe and efficient guidance of airplanes and vehicles on the ground under all weather conditions.

The orders for Frankfurt Airport and Landvetter Airport (Gothenburg) pertain to the supply of upgrades of existing systems previously delivered by HITT. HITT was previously commissioned by the DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GMBH to supply these systems to the airports of Leipzig, Munich, Hannover and Berlin Tegel. The Swedish air control organisation LFV Luftfartsverket has also been an appreciated customer of HITT for years. After Arlanda, the largest airport of Sweden, HITT will now also supply the system to the second largest airport, Landvetter Airport. Both upgrades are to be completed by the second quarter of 2011.

The number of flights has increased with 8 percent worldwide in 2010 compared to last year. When airports get busier, the demand increases for HITT systems to guarantee safety, security and efficiency at airports.
