   AMSTERDAM (DJ)--Hitt nv heeft zwakke eerste maanden van 2010 achter de rug, maar door het binnenhalen van belangrijke opdrachten toont de producent van verkeersbegeleiding- en navigatiesystemen zich woensdag positief over de rest van het jaar.
   
   In de eerste maanden van 2010 bleven omzet en resultaat nog achter bij de tendens van het tweede halfjaar van 2009. Het nog zwakke resultaat is volgens Hitt voor een deel een gevolg van de moeilijke marktomstandigheden in 2009, toen onvoldoende opdrachten werden geboekt om in 2010 sterk winstgevend van start te kunnen gaan.
   
   Daar staat tegenover dat in de eerste maanden van 2010 belangrijke opdrachten werden binnengehaald, waardoor de verwachtingen voor het gehele jaar "aanzienlijk zijn verbeterd". Het bedrijf kwantificeert dit echter niet.
   
   De positieve verwachting wordt mede ingegeven door een opdracht ter waarde van circa euro 17 mln in het Noordzeekanaal, die Hitt na een lange aanbestedingsprocedure in februari kreeg toegewezen.

   Results first months 2010 still weak but higher profit outlook following new orders
   Expectations for the year 2010 have significantly improved. In the first few months of the year, HITT NV booked important orders despite the fact that the markets for traffic management systems for aviation and marine had not widely improved. Sales and profit in the first months of 2010 stayed behind the trend of the second half of 2009.
   
   In the first months of 2010 HITT felt the effects of the difficult market conditions in 2009. Not enough orders were booked to be able to kick off 2010 with a strong profit. Significant effort and resources were put into the acquisition of new orders in the second half year of 2009 and the first months of 2010. This successful effort was followed by substantial new orders. These will contribute to the results of the second quarter and onwards. There are still delays in ongoing projects where customers are finalizing the infrastructure later than originally planned.
   
   Acquisition efforts in the field of vessel traffic systems have resulted in large contracts, particularly in the Benelux. Following a lengthy legal procedure, HITT secured the EUR 17 million Walradar / VTS system Noordzeekanaal order. In addition HITT secured a vessel traffic monitoring and guidance system for the Den Helder region with a value of EUR 2.3 million. The positive profit outlook for 2010 in the marine sector is furthermore driven by HITT’s stronger market position in Belgium where it recently secured orders for vessel traffic monitoring and guidance systems for the ports of Antwerp and Ghent.
   
   Activities in China continue to grow because of the new commercial strength of the Hong Kong office and China’s continued heavy investments in infrastructure. New orders were recorded in 2010 in this market. HITT’s air and vessel traffic control systems are well positioned to capitalize on this trend.
   
   Investments in air traffic control systems continue to be modest although there are some positive signs.
   
   The activities in the field of hydrography are going well. Sales of hardware for precision navigation however remain limited. Currently, investments are made in innovation of the hardware product line and in the expansion of the commercial strength in order to gain market share in that area.
   
   There were no significant changes in the financial position of HITT NV in the first months of 2010.

   Goed bedrijf in de infrastructuur.
   Balans op orde, hoog eigen vermogen per aandeel van 3,50 euro bij een koers van net boven de 4 en natuurlijk winstgevend en verhoogd dus de outlook.
   
   Helaas een veilingfonds en soms gebeurt er niets maar aan de andere kant geeft dat ook weer rust.
